About Me:
Georgia is our Exercise Physiologist and is a qualified Pre and Post natal Personal Trainer, while having completed both her BSc Sport Exercise Science and MSc Clinical Exercise Physiology studies at Northumbria University UK in 2020.
Georgia has a special interest in managing and reducing chronic pain and improving quality of life with chronic diseases. Using exercise as a form of medicine is crucial in all aspects of life, including mobilising joints, correcting postural imbalances, pain or discomfort pre and postnatally, increasing bone density, preparing for returning to running postnatally, returning to contact sports, managing impact with urine incontinence, improving pelvic floor dysfunction, and maintaining fitness and strength during pregnancy. Georgia has worked closely with training both novice and elite female athletes in Netball, Rugby, Athletics and Hockey. Ensuring their programmes are specific to their needs, while managing injury prevention and improving quality of life.
Professional Specialities:
Exercise physiology - worked closely with special populations and chronic pain such as; pre and post natal, pre/post menopause, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes, dementia, chronic neck pain, chronic shoulder pain, chronic ankle pain, ACL pre and post operation, arthritis, osteoporosis, to improve quality of life, injury prevention and reduce pain.
Personal Special Interests:
You'll find Georgia either playing rugby, facetiming her 2 dogs, going on long walks, having a sweaty Muay Thai session, or eating everything In sight!
